Lake Cities Academy

This week in the infant nursery, the babies will be given loads of tummy time, read to frequently and snuggled plenty.  The 12-18 month theme will be Insects. They will be able to play with stuffed bugs, their teachers will read "The Very Hungry Caterpilar", and they will paint a ladybug.

This week in the one year old room the theme is "Opposites". They will make a stop light, and learn about the sun and the snow.  They will play red light green light, and at circle they will practice colors, shapes, sing the ABC song, and count to 10.

This week in the two year old room the children will be learning about "My 5 Senses".  The children will taste different things, feel different textures, create a sand painting, and study the letter O and the number 10.

This week in the 3 year old room the theme is "Back to School"  With all of the new students starting this week, the children will work on class schedule and expectations.

This week in the Pre-K class the theme is "Back to School"  The children will work on routines, manners, and expectations for this year.

THIS IS JUST AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT THE CHILDREN WILL BE LEARNING THIS WEEK.  THEY WILL READ MANY BOOKS, HAVE ADVENTURES, EXERCISE, USE THEIR IMAGINATION, CREATE GREAT WORKS OF ART, AND DAYDREAM...

In an effort to keep the cost of tuition down, L.C.A. is going to participate in the state food program.  The menu will not change; the school will begin receiving funding from the state like a public school does.  The only change parents will see is a form that each family will fill out yearly. 

We at Lake Cities Academy want to thank our parents for entrusting the care of their children to us.  We do not take lightly the responsibility that is placed with us and we welcome the task and feel enriched by the  children that we care for and educate.  Thanks again.

Parents, please note that tuition remains the same during a regular school week or one with a holiday.  Your child's tuition is based upon his/her slot in the class, not by his/her days present.
